Students with Temporary Disabilities

For students whose disability is temporary--post surgery, casts, crutches and the like--SSD provides a variety of services to help you get to or stay in classes.  These services include van transportation, wheelchair, cane and crutch loans, and advice about location of campus access features such as ramps, elevators, and automatic doors.  We also provide note takers and special test taking arrangements as needed.

Students with temporary conditions or disabilities should first contact the SSD Administrative Office for information about how to arrange for services, including applicable documentation and paperwork.  Students who are treated at the UCR Campus Health Center may wish to ask that documentation of their impairment or injury be faxed to the SSD Administrative Office at (951) 827-4218.
