Prospective Students with Disabilities

Support services have been available at UC Riverside since the mid-1960s, making our campus one of the first in the nation to provide services for students with disabilities.  At this time, efforts were made to make our campus wheelchair accessible; services soon expanded to address the needs of students with other disabilities.  Today, our staff provide services to a wide range of undergraduate and graduate students.

We encourage you to contact our office early in your academic planning in order to learn about our campus, our services, and process for obtaining services once you are enrolled.  We also encourage you to discuss admission requirements with your school counselor or the UC Riverside Admissions Office (undergraduate) or Graduate Division.

In addition to SSD, other excellent student services are available to UC Riverside students, including the Learning Center, Career Services Center, and the Counseling Center.
